Maunsell Sea Forts

Saw these seaforts via the coolist and have been fascinated ever since. They were built during the Second World War and most of them are in varying states of decay. One of them remains inhabited has even become a micronation.

What a curious thing this dermatographia is. I was reminded of this image after Jessica Hische tweeted about these “scandalous” hosiery.

Amazing Shadow Artists

Kumi Yamashita uses slivers of wood or aluminium to cast ghostly shadows of people on the way. The artist then takes it one step further by working the object used to create the shadow into the final illusion. via Modern Met.
